Anita Wise
Primary Midwife
Building Wise & Well Midwifery has been an incredible process 10+ years in the making. In 2014, I graduated from Deakin University as a Registered Nurse & Midwife. I began working at a busy tertiary hospital in Melbourne and gained experience across all areas of maternity including antenatal clinic, complex antenatal care ward, birth suite, postnatal ward, special care nursery, women's emergency care and postnatal home visiting services. Whilst working as a nurse and midwife I developed a love for Pilates, going on to study a Diploma of Clinical Pilates in 2017. I also gained experience in the field of nursing research and was involved in several studies relating to paediatric allergies. I welcomed my first child at the end of 2019. Following this, we relocated to the Gippsland area to be closer to our extended family. With lived experience, I found an increased passion for working with families, particularly in the area of antenatal care and education. When I'm not at work you will find me at home with my (now two!) beautiful sons and wonderful husband or at a local cafe or Pilates studio. Some of my favourite things include: - good food (Vietnamese and Mexican!) - bushwalks - music (A true mix of genres- I love Hozier, Vera Blue and even a little bit of Shania Twain...) - baking for friends and family (Chocolate Zucchini Banana Bread is on high repeat) - exploring new areas & travelling. Fast forward to 2025 and Anita remains working as a midwife at a local public hospital, providing care across the entire pregnancy continuum. With endorsement, Anita is excited to offer holistic private Midwifery services to families of Gippsland.
